The Library opening.

On Thursday the 4th of September we had our library opening at school. The Deputy Mayor, people from the Ministry of Education and Gay Reed (the artist) came along. The Maori elders walked through the library and blessed it for us. Jessie Taylor did her mihi, The Kapa Haka group did their performances, it was really amazing. We are very  proud of our new library. We painted the leaves for the tree and their are new bean bags and furniture. The painting of Maungatapere is incredible. It has everything in it from our community. We love going into the library and hanging out.
