We are learning about Herb Foley, a New Zealand artist. He used to live in Christchurch but after the Earthquakes he moved north to Keri Keri. He is well known for his paintings of the NZ Bush. He draws layers, big trees and plants at the front and smaller ones going back. He sometimes hides NZ icons or bugs in his pictures.
We learnt to size and layers and light shining from one side of the picture.
I really enjoyed doing our artwork. Next term we are going to use these skills to do more art.
