Zeebong visits Maungatapere School

 Zeebong the storyteller came to Maungatapere School and told us a story that his grandfather told him. He had a magnificent vest on that had golden patterns on it. His voice was unusual and deep. He had a story teller's accent.

He got  teachers and children to play characters in his story.

Jack was the King. Mrs Adams was the queen.

Blake was the prince, Trey was the baby boy.

Ms Hodgson was Granhag the smelly old witch. She is a bad witch.

The story was about a royal family who lived in the castle. The witch wanted the first baby born to the Queen. She tricked the family into promising that they would give them the baby. But they killed killed her in the end. It was a great story we enjoyed.

 

We love his stories and can't wait for him to come again next year.
